White carbon black is general term of X-ray amorphous silicic acid and silicate products in white powder form, mainly precipitated silica, fumed silica and ultra-fine silica gel, also powdered synthetic aluminium silicate and calcium silicate. Main component is silica. It is called white carbon black for its reinforcing effect on rubber. White carbon black is white powder, granule or block, non-flammable, odorless, good physiological inertness, insoluble in water, excellent chemical stability.
White carbon black is divided into fumed white carbon black and precipitated white carbon black by production method.
